We finished up our stay in Chicago with a busy day yesterday. After breakfast, we went on a record label crawl — visiting the homes of both Bloodshot and Drag City Records (both of which have put out tons of amazing records and whose offices are basically clubhouses).
Then we went over to Shuga Records for an in-store signing (and personalized portraits by Marissa) before finally playing the Wicker Park Fest later that night.
In between obligations, we found time to hit up one of my favorite donut shops in the world (Stan’s) for their biscoff donut (it’s a must). Jarrett was dying to stop by Quimby’s Comics, so we made sure to get that done. Mike picked the latest Ottessa Mossfegh novel on my recommendation, so I’m feeling the pressure.
After the set, we went back to Electrical Audio where the boys got in an intense game of Magic (which quickly put me to sleep). Off to Dayton in the morning!
